Still down. I think Kev is just trying to get it all set up so we can connect and play. This ^ [UPDATE]So, as WereWolf mentioned, ConnectUO truly seems to be functionally dead. I personally cannot connect to ANY shard. This means that for now, you'll only be able to connect to the shard through Razor and unless you edit your client files (which I don't really suggest even if I've done it), you won't be able to see all the pretty hues, any of the custom map tiles, or the custom spell images. The shard is up... and you can connect with Razor. You can also connect to UO Gateway I got a lot of errors while running UOG, but after ignoring them all, it worked. The patch URL for UOG (because the public listing of MU doesn't have spell images) is mysticalunicorn.servegame.com/mupatch.rarThe final thing I have to say for tonight is this: if you think you know how to help deliver patches without permanently overriding people's client files then by ALL means, share it with everyone here And if you don't mind overriding all your files, you can follow the steps here written by a former player named Able. They're pretty useful and if you have questions, just read the rest of the thread, then if you STILL have questions, PM staff or ask someone ' As usual, thank you everyone for your patience in this process

I dont see whats bad about client editing, ConnectUO was doing so, simply extract the MU package to the uo folder and edit login.cfg. Ive been doing that since Renaissance that might be why im not used to connectUO and such fancy app. Thx Kev for all your works and devotions

Don't know if this is what you are asking for but... I use razor, and I keep a backup of all files any server's patches change and a backup of that servers patches. I place these in their own folders within a folder called "Files" within the UO folder. This would be my UO folder as an example: UO >Desktop >Files >>Backup >>Server A >>Server B >Music >Patch >Support Backup, Server A, and Server B would be the folders within the Files folder. The files for the server you are playing on can be dropped directly into the UO folder, however if you play multiple servers some of these files might mess with other servers you play on unless you remove or over wright them. If you don't really know what you are doing it's probably best not to mess with them though. You could also install multiple instances of UO with different paths... though that can be a major drive hog, and I have yet to actually get it to work for me. >.>

Everyone can patch if they just follow Able's guide or do as you suggest with the login file, but it requires more work than some people are really capable of. And for those people that play multiple shards it can really be a huge hassle having to constantly switch or edit files. Unfortunately that's the way it will have to be I guess until ConnectUO 3 comes out.

Oh, and I've recently heard that CUO2 still works for some people, which is great! So you may want to try CUO2 again just in case.
I mis-heard and it's actually ConnectUO Desktop that still works if you have that still. So there are 4 options to connect: edit your game itself, Razor, CUOD, and UOG.

Wow! Thank you Kev. Smooth as glass. The best shard just got better. Now I wish I had the time to play more.
