I'm writing this suggestion in the hopes that the auction system will become more reasonable. One great feature of the shard is having the option to auction items, or bid on others. However, I have found one problem that has been more prevalent recently. I believe that the minimum bids should increase incrementally as they become higher, because as it is a bid of 50 million gold can be overtaken by an increase of 1 thousand more. This, to me, is not just unreasonable but also incredibly frustrating, to be bidding millions and millions of gold only to be jerked around by someone increasing the bid by thousandths of a percent. The only way to prevent losing the item is to overbid, which would be excusable if it wasn't preempted by a cheapskate trying to overcut you with a measly 1k gold. I don't mind a bidding war with someone who is willing to actually overbid you, but in these amounts it's painfully laughable. I understand if there are problems with coding, but as I said it's amazingly frustrating to bid the equivalent of hours of work to be one-upped by the equivalent of a few mongbat kills. Thanks for reading, I hope this can be remedied.

We'll look into making the bidding increments a little more reasonable as the price goes up, but the reason it's like that now is because I don't think it was quite made for shards where you can get as much gold as you can here. Thanks for voicing your opinion

Thanks for the prompt reply I realize our shard is quite a bit different from others, but that's why I like it so much. I was just hoping that we could make the auction system more bearable for those who are actually willing to pay for what they want. It would be an improvement for people auctioning items, too, because no one likes to see the price go up by 1k when the item is worth millions.

Yes, it is 1% of whatever the current bid is, rounded off to a whole number.

Hey, just wanted to say, I don't think the change worked, because I had an item up for auction for 15 million gold and someone raised the bid by 1 gp.
