ATTENTION!
Color Coding System
Green = Hyperlink
Yellow = File or Directory
Orange = Buttons in CUO2
Red = Very Important Information
Now that ConnectUO 2 is out and working wonderfully, I'm making this guide for EVERYONE because we are going to expect everyone to switch to this (or still use Razor) from CUO1, CUOD, or UOG.
First things first, you need to download ConnectUO 2 from the ConnectUO Website or you can simply Click This Link. Save it anywhere you want on your computer then run the program and install it anywhere you want (might as well use C:\Program Files\ConnectUO 2.0\).
Now that you've gotten ConnectUO 2 installed, simply run the program. The loading/update splash screen will appear on screen for a few seconds, and then the main window itself will load up. You should see the list of all shards, most likely starting with UOGamers: Hybrid. From here, you can simply search for Mystical Unicorn by typing it in the Filter bar, you can scroll down the list until you find it, or you can sort it with the Sort By button and then scroll around and find it.
Once you have found Mystical Unicorn in the server list, you can click on the Favorite button to add it to your favorite list (which we highly suggest you do, because you know you love us ;D). You'll notice that on the Mystical Unicorn bar, it has our information, an online count, language, era, up time, etc. It also has the X made out of band-aids next to the green/red light. The light represents if the shard is up or not and the X made of band-aids tells you that we require patching. The Reset button will reset your patches should that be required.
All you have to do now is click Play and all of our patches will begin downloading. I've set it up so that they're broken up into 4 chunks which makes them download much quicker thanks to the new system they created in CUO2. Once the patches are downloaded and extracted (it automatically does this for you) CUO2 will probably minimize (standard setting) and your UO screen will appear. Now just log in and enjoy playing on Mystical Unicorn
The following is a set of notes about CUO2 and MU in general for those that might have questions.
Anyways, I hope everyone learns to love CUO2 or sticks with Razor because it will really help with patches and it will make life so much easier for both players and staff. If you know someone who doesn't have CUO2 yet, or has trouble patching, or whatever, direct them here, help them get CUO2 because it is truly a wonderful program.

The following is a set of notes about CUO2 and MU in general for those that might have questions.
- You might notice that it says we are an RP shard on CUO2. This is because there are only 3 choices, RP (Role Playing), PVP (Player Vs. Player), or RP/PVP. Since we are not a Role Playing shard (though you may try if you want) and we are certainly not a PVP shard (except events and guilds), so we aren't both either. Since we didn't fit any choice, I simply picked RP to help show that we don't PVP.
- The Language says ENG which means we are an English shard (which you should know if you've read this far ). If English is not your first language or best language, you are more than likely going to have issues communicating with anyone on the shard.
- The Era says we are an AOS shard. That is because we have all AOS functionality, but that's as far as we go. We do have limited SE functionality, such as being able to use the weapons and them having their correct abilities, etc. But we do not have the skills or many other SE features. We have even less ML stuff, mostly just a few dungeons and some creatures.
- The Client Version says 6.0.1.6 and if you see anywhere that it says 6.0.1.6+ this is untrue I'm afraid. 6.0.1.6 is the highest confirmed patch that works, though very few people have gotten higher level patches to work, it's not recommended to try unless you know what you're doing.
- Some of the features of CUO2 are listed on the left side of the CUO2 window. Making a local shard is pretty much just like it was in CUOD. If you want to make a local shard (you will not have to to play on Mystical Unicorn) then you'll probably know what you're doing.
- I've noticed that CUO2 does not have many things in the way of Settings like CUOD did. It only lets you launch Razor (or not), patch client encryption (which you should leave on), and minimize CUO2 after clicking on Play.
