Some of you from MU's early years may remember him as a happy and dutiful man. He was always genuinely happy to talk to old friends and always honorable in everything he did. Such honor he carried, that he never strayed from a silent moral high ground, which we may have taken for granted, even when he served as a startling role model for us in our times of discontent. Casca played other shards, including a Gor server, but spent quite some time here. I was notified that Casca passed away on April 30th. He woke up with difficulty breathing and shortly thereafter a blood clot was found in his chest. I believe he would have wanted us to think on this not with grief, but with fondness of a man who was always grinning, and always found reasons to continue doing so.

It's hard not to be sad when hearing of the passing of a friend. I remember more one particular conversation him and I had on MSN, I was sad, and he did tell me to smile and that tomorrow is a new and better day, and it was. I got a pm from him the following day to say Hello and how are you with a *smiles*, and it made me smile just seeing that. Our messages over the years did become few and far between, they always started with "Hello, How are you? *smiles*"
Honor, Chivalry, Valor, Virtue, are all words that come to mind thinking of Casca. Came to meet him after a fellow guild member brought him to the fold of Vestige in which I was a senior member at the time. First thing that struck me was his shyness. Even though I had known him to be an older player (in age) he was very quiet and shy, but very eager to help. And he did. Whether he knows it or not, he helped build Vestige to what it was in it's day. After a year of slowly getting to know him I finally added him to my MSN list and our friendship grew.
4 Years ago I made a friend in Casca, and today I grieve for the loss of a friend. Thanks for the great memories Casca, the honor, chivalry, valor and virtue that you had shown on the shard will be remembered, as will your *smiles*. God speed my friend, and rest in peace.

Staff of MU acknowledges the passing of Casca Longinius with a sign in his memory along side that of Loraks and Mariki.
Remembering Casca, he never said much but played the way he wanted. He always tried to help anyone where he could. He will be missed.
