OK, so I've been ingame about three hours. I've seen 4 people in game. Only one has actually taken any time to start talking to me. At some point I've said "I used to play another shard" or something along those lines and I'm now blinded and muted for 2 weeks??? After finally meeting someone who'll talk to me in game??? I've done a bit of reading on the forums as there's a fair bit of customisation in this shard. Going by what I've read it looks like player numbers are dropping. After my own experiences I'm not really all that surprised right now. I can understand that theres issues with the server and having played a few hours I can see theres a couple things messed up. Altitude problems probably being the worst I experienced, not being able to download hues is just plain annoying but I can let those go cause I'm sure that'll get fixed in time. But muting and blinding me for saying i've played UO somewhere else before?? I think thats a bit over the top. Edit: After 7 hours with a page request left ingame still no staffer on a weekend???

Playing around in the shard I finally found the !adverts command. Strange that none of that is neither on the forums nor in the rules.
Needless to say I'm still chat banned, not that it really matters. I've got 21 hours logged in now and seen noone log in since I got chat banned. This post has been here for several days and I've not been responded to here, nor have my requests for help been attended to ingame.
I have read throughout the forums of players stating that numbers have dropped significantly and complaining of noone buying items off players. I put it to you that this is a VERY unfriendly shard.
You don't want to help new players but expect them to troll through your forums for instructions on how to play. You have a lot of customisations, the regular sites that people might use will not explain these. If you don't want to help new players ingame then at least put all the information on a website (not a forum) where new players might click on links/items they want to find out about. People are happy to go to a reference source but don't want to be mashing through forums looking for information on some small matter.
Your rules are definately not clear but you have massive expectations. The only reason I found out the listed bannable statements was by using !advert command which was only found after I used !help ingame. You could at least have listed that fact in the rules so that a new player would know there was a such a list. It might seem obvious to you but a new player is taking a lot in when they start. I doubt many people are going to stumble across this !advert command before long.
Is there a playerbase here? I've put in several hours here (21 in fact) and seen next to noone. I am getting the feeling that I'm wasting my time on a shard that has a few tired old vets that log in for an hour or so every week.
